Color Management

To ensure your printed results match what you see on your screen, please follow these industry-standard guidelines:

Ambient Light:

For the best results, we recommend editing in a room with dim, consistent lighting. Avoid editing photos with direct sunlight hitting your screen, as this may cause you to edit your images too dark.

Monitor Calibration & Settings:

We highly recommend using a monitor calibration device (such as Spyder or X-Rite). Set your monitor’s luminance to 80-120 cd/m² and the color temperature to 6500K (D65).

Working Color Profile:

Save all your files in the sRGB color profile. This is the standard and safest color space for printing machines.

Soft Proofing:

You can download our ICC profile from the website.

Please note:

Do NOT Assign Profile or Convert to Profile using our printer profile! The provided profile is intended strictly for Soft Proofing in Photoshop (under View > Proof Setup > Custom) so you can preview how the paper type will affect your colors. The file itself must remain in sRGB.

Print Ready Files

To prevent technical issues or loss of sharpness, please adhere to the following parameters:

Resolution & Format:

Work in 300 DPI. Save files as JPEG at maximum quality (Quality 12).

The Gutter:

In our Layflat albums, the image is printed across a full two-page spread. Although the binding line is almost invisible, we highly recommend not placing faces or eyes directly on the center fold.

Full Bleed:

The background or image must extend all the way to the absolute edge of the file. Do not leave thin white borders. Cutting is a mechanical process and slight shifts can occur; “Full Bleed” ensures that if the blade shifts slightly, we still see the image and not an annoying white strip.

Safe Zone:

Please keep important elements (text, logos, or subjects’ heads) at least 1/2 inch away from the edge of the page. This area is intended for background extension only.

Borders:

You can create a border around your image, but its thickness must be at least 1/2 inch. Thinner borders are too close to the cut line, and any slight shift during production will cause the border to look asymmetrical to the eye.

Color Correction Options

During checkout, you will need to choose your preferred color treatment method:

Lab Color Correction (Recommended for private clients):
